If your dining area gets little use beyond holidays, it's time to believe bigger about its hidden potential. Keeping the room's tradition of togetherness in mind, here are three easy ways to get more use (and more fun) out of the space.
In terms of shapes, round tables are optimal for attaining some of small dining area design ideas you may see. They fit into tight areas and also have no sharp corners to bump into when you're serving a hot casserole or pouring a glass of water. Round pedestal tables are also useful alternatives - they feature more legroom than conventional designs. For a more substantial space, a square table is effective, and a rectangular table is well suited for a long, narrow room.
