Chairs should not be rickety or wobble. If the chair has a padded seat, the corners should be reinforced with screwed-in (not glued) corner blocks. Padded seats should be removable so the cover can be changed. Fabric covered chairs may well not be appealing if you have young children who are messy eaters. Leather is a superb option for quick cleanup, as is stain resistant microfiber upholstery. Slip covers on Parson's chairs are another easily cleaned option for the dining room.
A dining table is a wonderful canvas for curiosity. Friends and family gather around, usually with anticipation, excitement and - with regards to the occasion - high expectations. It's home to everything from staple meals, formal buffets and aperitifs to the unexpected laughter and memorable conversations we take around. An enduring dining table invites constant embellishment and cleanup without compromise. To choose the perfect one, it's key to decide on the table's size, condition and materials, so you can have a lasting place for everything the dining space embraces.
